What MDR is (and what it is not)

MDR is a security service combining endpoint telemetry (via EDR) with human-led monitoring, investigation, and response support. It is not 'set-and-forget antivirus' or simple alert forwarding. MDR is an operational security function designed to reduce time to detect, time to respond, and overall business impact from cyber incidents.

Continuous monitoring and intelligent triage

Our SOC analysts monitor security signals around the clock and prioritize what matters:

Severity-based alert handling with defined escalation rules

Noise reduction and false positive tuning to prevent alert fatigue

Context-enriched alerts tied to your specific environment and risk

Escalation rules aligned to your business hours and risk tolerance

Threat investigation and validation

Not every alert is an incident. Our analysts validate events to determine: is this real malicious activity? What endpoints are affected? What is the likely attack path and scope? You get clear, actionable summaries rather than raw log data, enabling informed decisions quickly.

Containment and response coordination

When a confirmed threat is identified, we coordinate rapid response to minimize damage:

Endpoint isolation from the network within minutes

Blocking known malicious indicators across your environment

Guidance for credential resets and access revocation

  Forensic-quality telemetry for post-incident analysis

Post-incident analysis and recommendations to prevent recurrence

Reporting and security posture improvement

MDR should improve your security posture over time, not just react:

Incident summaries with timeline, impact, and response outcomes

Monthly reporting covering coverage, trends, and key events

Practical recommendations to reduce repeat incident types

Compliance-ready documentation for audit and insurance requirements

  Frequently Asked Questions

MDR typically builds on top of EDR. If you don't have EDR yet, we can deploy both together as a combined solution.

Response targets are defined in your SLA, typically 15 minutes for critical alerts, 30-60 minutes for high severity, depending on service level.

For many SMB and mid-market organizations, MDR provides SOC-grade security coverage without the cost and complexity of building an in-house team.

Primarily endpoint (EDR) telemetry. We can also integrate identity, email, and cloud signals depending on your environment.
